Disclaimer and Commitment

As your doula, I am deeply committed to maintaining the highest level of privacy, trust, and respect in our relationship. This Privacy Policy outlines how I, operating as The Progressive Doula, handle any and all information you share with me throughout our work together.

1. Confidentiality Commitment

All information you share with me — whether spoken, written, or observed — is held in the strictest confidence. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal details and contact information

  • Family dynamics or relationships

  • Physical, mental, and emotional health information

  • Birth preferences, plans, and experiences

  • Any other information shared during prenatal, birth, or postpartum support

I will never share your information with anyone without your explicit, written consent, except where required by law (such as in cases of suspected abuse or immediate danger).

2. Scope of Practice

I am not a medical professional or midwife. I do not diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions regarding your health or the health of your baby. My role as a doula through The Progressive Doula is to provide:

  • Emotional and physical support

  • Evidence-based information

  • Comfort measures and advocacy support

  • Non-clinical guidance during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods

Any medical concerns should always be directed to your licensed healthcare provider (e.g., OB/GYN, midwife, pediatrician, etc.). I am not responsible for outcomes related to medical conditions, treatments, or decisions.

3. Your Informed Choice

By choosing to work with The Progressive Doula, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. You understand that I am offering support services within the scope of a doula, not medical care, and that all information shared with me is protected by a strong commitment to your privacy.
